Raymond Leon DeGone, 69

Raymond Leon DeGone, 69, joined his family in heaven on Tuesday, October 18, 2016.
Born December 9, 1946 he was the son of Leon and Edna DeGone of Tupper Lake.
He attended Tupper Lake Schools and received his GED before enlisting in the Army in September of 1967.
Ray served with distinction during the Vietnam war, receiving the National Defense Service medal, the Vietnam Service medal, the Vietnam Campaign medal, the Army Occupation medal as well as Sharpshooter M-16 and Combat Infantry badges. He was formally discharged with full honors in September of 1973.
Ray then went on to work for CEL Lumber, the Blue Mountain Museum, Bloomingdale Sewage Plant and finally retired from Sunmount DDSO's Maintenance Department.
Ray is survived by his beloved wife, Mary (Bradley), son and daughter-in-law Mark and Tina Bradley, daughter Sheila Duchaine, and grandchildren Brandon, Logan, Dylan and Amber. He is also survived by sisters Genevieve (Burt) Simpson, Shirley (Ronnie) Godin, Rose Marie (Edward) Morrow as well as sister-in-law, Ann DeGone. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
He was predeceased by his brother, Robert.  
Calling hours were held on Sunday October 23 at the Stuart Fortune Keough Funeral home in Tupper Lake. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday, October 24 at St. Alphonsus Church and burial with full military honors followed at the St. Alphonsus cemetery.
A gathering was held immediately after at the Edmund Bujold VFW Post 3120 in Tupper Lake.

Freda Kelley, 83

Freda Kelley, 83, of Piercefield, went to sleep to await the arrival of her savior, when she will reunite with her loved ones.
Born on Nov. 3, 1932 to Fred and Gladys Sutton, Freda was the first of 10 children.
Freda was a home maker and wa active in the Piercefield Ladies' Auxiliary, and the Red Hat Society of Tupper Lake.
She was active in the Seventh Day Adventist church in Saranac Lake, and enjoyed helping anyone and everyone.
Surviving siblings are Patty Sutton Miller, of Morrisville VT, George and Nancy Sutton of Brandon VT, Gerald and Arlene Sutton of Morrisville VT, Eileen Sutton McCalvin of Bloomingdale; Maxine Sutton Chardeen, of Bloomingdale; Charles Sutton of Lyon Mountain N.Y., and Geraldine and Tom Treppa of Ocala, FL.
She is survived by her children: Gladys Jana of Jasper FL, Joseph and Amy Gadway of Piercefield, Fred and Evelyn Gadway of Tupper Lake and Betty and Joe Keniston of Tupper Lake. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Freda was predeceased by a brother, Fred Sutton Jr., at a young age. Also by her sister, Dorothy Sutton-Sylvester, of Morrisvile VT.
Funeral service was held at the Seventh Day Adventist church on St. Bernard Street in Saranac Lake, NY on October 25 at noon, with graveside service following at Lakeside Cemetery on Hosley Ave. in Tupper Lake.

Michael “Mike” A. Farnsworth, 47

Michael “Mike” A. Farnsworth, also known as “Farnsy” and “Kenny”, 47, of Newton Falls, passed away in a motor vehicle accident on Saturday, October 15, 2016.
Mike was born on November 15, 1968 in Saranac Lake to the late Earl and Edith (Kennedy) Farnsworth. He graduated from the Tupper Lake High School.
Mike married Shelly Christian on September 1, 2001 in Newton Falls. He has worked for the Town of Clifton Highway Department for the past eight years as a mechanic and loader operator.
In his free time, Mike enjoyed boating, hunting, fishing, four-wheeling and camping. He was a hardworking man who loved hanging out with his family.
His survivors include his wife, Shelly; five children, Natasha “Pumpkin” Farnsworth, Chelsea Johnson, Kendra Johnson, Devin Johnson, and Chase “Bub” Farnsworth; twelve siblings, Mitch and Carl Farnsworth, Betty and Wayne Wilson, Sally and Dave White, Lucy and Bob West, Lillian and Terry Hoyt, Tina and Doug Provost, Mary Farnsworth, Barbara and Dan Lashua, Marlene and Ron Kerr, Donna and Gene Harmon, and Marilyn and Glenn Tellier.
He is also survived by three grandchildren, Lydia, Cambree and Briann; 33 nieces and nephews; a great-nephew, Mason; his parents-on-law, Robert and Darlene Christian and their children, Bobbie and Darren Whitmarsh and Joseph and Bianca Christian.
Mike is predeceased by his parents and a brother, Baby Earl.

John A. Theriault, 81

John Alton Theriault, 81, formerly of Tupper Lake, died on Friday, October 7, 2016 in Vancouver, WA where he resided with his loving wife Vivian of 61 years.
Born in Hudson, N.Y. on October 11, 1935, he was the son of Samuel and Loretta (Miner) Theriault.
He married Vivian Mary Garrow on May 15, 1955.
John served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1981,  serving in Okinawa, Japan from 1961 to 1963 and the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1970. He retired with 26 years of service as SGM.
John was a federal government OPM investigator for ten years and professor of Business Management at Clark Community College for ten years.
John is survived by his wife, Vivian, three sons, John Walter (Bonnie) of Vancouver WA; Alton Allen (Kim) of Justin TX; Jerry Isaac (Yuphapron “Anna”) of Olympia, WA; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; four brothers, Sam, Jimmy, Glen and Rocky and four sisters, Jeanne, Sally, Charlotte and Nancy.
He was predeceased by his parents Samuel and Loretta and two sisters, Joanne and Linda.

Edna L. Price, 88

Edna L. Price passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Spicer Assisted Living in Canton, NY where she resided for the past three years. 
She was born December 26, 1927 in St. Regis Falls to Wendell and Blanche (Peck) Patraw.
She married Harry Price on February 8, 1946 in St. Regis Falls. She later moved to Wingdale, NY.  She worked at Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center, retiring in 1983. 
She moved to Tupper Lake, where she was active on the Seniors Bowling League and the Women's Golf League.  Later she moved to the Villages, FL to continue to enjoy her love of both sports. 
Edna is survived by her three sons: Robert Price of Pawling, N.Y., David (Denese) Price of Tupper Lake and Michael (Peggy) Price of St. Petersburg, FL. She is also survived by three grandchildren- Jeanna (Karl) Woods, Jason(Christine) Price and Michael Price.  Also surviving her are four great-grandchildren and her siblings, Helen Palmer, Eugene (Barbara) Patraw and Roy (Elaine) Patraw and several nieces and nephews. 
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Harry on April 19, 1995, her brother William Patraw and sister Elois Sanford and her great-grandson Ethan Price in 2014.

Eric P. (Russ) Russell

It is with heavy heartsthe family and friendsof Eric (Russ) Russell mourn his passing on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, unexpectedly at his residence.
He was born in Tupper Lake on June 15, 1963, the son of Ralph and Charlotte Churco Russell, and attended Tupper Lake schools, where he had perfect attendance.
Eric received his Associate's Degree in Plumbing and Heating from SUNY Canton where he was a member of the ZAP Fraternity.
He was employed with O'Brien Plumbing and Heating in Utica for over thirty years, after moving to the Utica area in the 1980's.
Eric was known for his love of sports, having been a fan of the Miami Dolphins, the LA Dodgers and Boston Bruins. He was also a huge Van Halen fan. He loved the Adirondacks, where he spent every Memorial Day, camping for the past 30 years. Eric also enjoyed being home, just sitting around the fireplace in the backyard.
He leaves behind his significant other, Kathy Synakowski of Schuyler, and her mother, Lillian, as well her siblings, Gary and Kathy Synakowski, Rick Snakowski, and Karen Sharpe; his father, Ralph, of Tupper Lake; his sisters, Eve and David Dakin, of MA, Ellen and Michael Duffy, of Long Island; and his godson, Zachary Dakin.
Eric also leaves behind many other relatives, as well as his lifelong friends, Witte, Dewey, Ham, Geno, Frankie, Griff, Goss, Darryl and their families; and his feline companions, Sabre and Nicky.
He was predeceased by his mother, Charlotte.
Eric was compassionate, loving and kind to all people he came into contact with.

Emily Buteau, 83

Emily Buteau, 83, passed away at her home on Wawbeek Ave. on Saturday, October 8, 2016 following a long illness.  
Born in Tupper Lake on March 31, 1933, she was the daughter of Albert and Emily (Poirier) Larocholle.  Emily worked as a company Rep for the McDonalds's corporation in Queens, NY prior to retiring and moving to Tupper Lake. 
She is survived by three children; Wayne, Agnes and Paul, grandchildren; Wayne, Devin, Peter, Danielle, Melissa and Paul, great grandchildren; Abby Gale, Peter, Timmy, Daniel, Emma, Olivia and Dominique.   
Calling hours were held on Sunday, October 16 from 5p.m. to   7 p.m. at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough funeral home. 
A funeral service was held on Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.  Burial followed  in St. Alphonsus cemetery.

Reta A. Wamback, 83

It is with great sadnessthe family of Reta A. Wamback announces her death at age 83, on Wednesday, October 12, 2016.  Reta of Long Lake passed away at the Tri-County assisted living center in North Creek where she had resided for the past two months.
Reta was born in Tupper Lake  on November 16, 1932 to Percy and Clara Stanton.
She  was married to Arnold (Bud) W. Wamback on August 5, 1955 in Long Lake.  He predeceased  her on September 11, 2011.
Reta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  She was a homemaker and worked at various businesses in Long Lake.  An active member of the Long Lake community, she was a volunteer member of the Long Lake Rescue Squad for several years and an active member of the United Methodist Church in Long Lake.
Reta is survived by  her three children; Keith A. Wamback Sr. (Darlene), Pamela W. Bradley and Judy H. St. Amour, all residing in Long Lake, her siblings- Arthur Stanton of Catskill N.Y. and Jean Flowers of DuBois PA. Also surviving Reta are seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are scheduled for  1p.m., Saturday October 22 at the Long Lake cemetery.   Family and friends are invited to the Long Lake Diner immediately following the ceremony.

Wayne R. Lanthier, 57

Wayne R. Lanthier, 57, of Tupper Lake passed away unexpectedly Saturday October 8, 2016 at his home. 
Born January 11, 1959 in Saranac Lake, he was the sonof Wilfred and Naoma (Stevens) Lanthier.  Wayne grew up in Tupper Lake and attended local schools.  He worked in the woods with his uncles, Donald and George Lanthier.  He later went on to work construction, and an injury in the early 1990's led to an early retirement.  Wayne's hobbies were, snowmobiling, boating and fast cars.  He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and especially his grand children.  
He is survived by his parents, longtime companion Melissa Breault, two daughters;  Jessica Lavalley and her husband Lyndon, Tiffany Lanthier, one son Wayne J. Lanthier and his wife Krysten, one granddaughter Hailey and a grandson Benjamin.  He is also survived by two brothers- John and his wife Becky of Iowa, Alan and his wife Lilly of Japan, one sister Loretta Perham and her husband Chip.  Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. 
There will be no calling hours.  A gathering in Wayne's memory is scheduled for 1p.m. Wednesday, October 12. at the VFW.

Larry E. Keniston, 81

Larry E. Kenistonpassed away unexpectedly at Albany Medical Center on September 23, 2016 at the age of 81.
Larryis predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Ella (Boyer) Keniston, his sister Pat Keniston, and his son, Larry E. Keniston Jr.
Heis survived byhisloving wife Jeannette (Boudreau) of 57 years. They were married at Holy Name Church, in Tupper Lake, on September 5, 1959. Fr. Paul LaRocque performed the marriage.
Larryis lovingly remembered byhis children, Therese Dukett, Jackie (Steve) Boushie, Chris (Mary) Keniston, Mike (Kathy) Keniston, Laurie (Thomas) Urh, Mary Ann (Matthew) Haywood, Tim Keniston, and his sister Mary Jo Daniels. He will also be missed by his 22 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was born in Tupper Lake,  on November 25, 1934.  He graduated from Tupper Lake High School in 1952. He enlisted in the Army in 1955. He served 18 months in Korea and Fort Knox Kentucky before discharge.  He began his career with the postal service in 1959, as one of the first postal carriers, and soon after became a clerk. He retired in 1990. In 1992 he took over a highway delivery route, and 12 years later he retired from that.
Larry enjoyed reading, biking, and travel. He and his wife traveled extensively, and he enjoyed that very much. Family celebrations and all his time with family meant the most to him. He was an outstanding role model, his family meant so much to him, and he provided for his family by working many jobs to care for them. His strong faith and hard work ethic was a great example to his children.
The visitation was held at Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, 24 Cliff Ave, Tupper Lake on Monday, September 26 from 4p.m. to 7p.m. Prayers and funeral service were at Holy Name Church, Tupper Lakeon Tuesday, September 27 2016 at 11a.m. Burial followed at Holy Name Cemetery.

Reta Reandeau, 85

Reta Reandeau 85, passed peacefully at the Wesley Nursing  Home in Saratoga Springs where she had been a resident for the past four years.
She was born in Tupper Lake,  on February 25,1931 to Viola and Carl Dukette.  She is survived by siblings Beatrice Whitman, Linda Gaff and Jean Kelly.  Predeceased by Earl Dukette, Elizabeth Larche, Esther Lamica,Loretta LaVoie and James Dukette.
She married Leonard Reandeau June 18, 1949, who predeceased her.  They had 3 children Lois (William) Parmelee, Steven(Phyllis) Reandeau and LeeAnne(James) Martin.  She had five grandchildren and six great grandchildren . Reta worked for several years in the cafeteria at Tupper Lake Central schools and later in the laundry at Sunmount DDSO.  Reta was an avid knitter, reader and enjoyed a good game of Bingo.

Marie Rolland Gaff, 94

Marie R. Gaff 94, was called home to the Lord on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 in Davenport, Florida.
She was born in Moose Creek, Canada on Nov. 10, 1921. She was the daughter of Lionel and Henrietta (Le Roux) LaFrance.
She was married to William H. Gaff, Sr. for 72 years and made their home in Tupper Lake for many years until retirement, then moved on to Brooksville, Florida and finally to Davenport, Florida.
Marie first worked at the OWD, then worked at Sunmount DDSO, where she retired.
Marie enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing cards and also spent many hours knitting and crocheting numerous articles to give to her family and friends. Marie will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  
Surviving are William H. Gaff, Jr. and his wife Vivian of Haines City, Florida, daughter Joy and her husband Robert Borghi of Saranac Lake, and son John Gaff and his wife Diane, of Jupiter, Florida. She leaves behind nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband William H. Gaff, Sr., one son, Samuel E Gaff. and many of her brothers and sisters.
A celebration service will be held at the Crossroads in Davenport, Fl. on Oct. 8, 2016.

Marilyn Jean Kempton, 85

Marilyn Jean Kempton was born on June 25, 1931 in Flint, Michigan.  She met and married Thomas J. Kempton in 1951 in Berrien Springs, Michigan and have been married 65 years.
She attended Andrews University to initiate a career in nursing, then transitioned to a twenty year career in special education in the Clarkstown School District.
She took great pride in homemaking, gardening, church involvement, and was a gifted cook.  She truly enjoyed retirement with her husband on Gull Pond in Piercefield.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Thomas J. Kempton; her three sons John Kempton of East Jordon, MI.;  Mark Kempton of Tafton, PA; and David Kempton of Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y.  She is also survived by her eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation hours will be held on Thursday September 29, 2016 from 2:30p.m. to 3:30p.m. with afFuneral service at 3:30 p.m. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc. 72 West Main St. Middletown, N.Y.

Antoine Maurice St. Pierre, 82

Antoine Maurice St. Pierre from Tupper Lake, New York, a retired carpenter with the Carpenters Local Union 1042 died unexpectedly Thursday, September 1, 2016.
Maurice is survived by his wife; Rita (Reandeau); his children Lise Johnson and companion Frederick Raymond, Carol and husband Patrick Sovay, Bruce and wife Lynn (Stone), Pierre and wife Lisa (Garrow), Eric, Sheila and husband Jean Gagnon, Kim and husband Patrick Thompson.  He also is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.  He is also survived by two brothers; Fernand and Real and four sisters; Annette, Noella, Francoise, Jeanne and predeceased by brothers; Norman, Blondin, Gustave and sister Gisele.
Maurice was born in St Rose Du Degelis, Quebec, Canada to his father Charles and mother Annie (Fournier) October 28, 1933.  He graduated from the School of Agriculture in Rimouski Quebec, Canada in 1950.  He moved to Tupper Lake in 1958 to work as a lumberjack where he took extra pride and joy in the training of work horses.  At that time, he met his wife Rita and they married on September 26, 1959. 
Maurice was an expert cabinet maker and spent most of his retirement working in his wood shop crafting custom cabinets and furniture for many people throughout Tupper Lake and surrounding communities. 
Maurice was an avid hockey fan.  He assisted in the construction of the Tupper Lake outdoor hockey rink years ago and later years, the Tupper Lake Memorial Civic Center.  In his free time,
Maurice also drew much joy from working in his garden and grooming his property.  He was a very proud father and grandfather. He is loved and will be dearly missed by his family.
Respects can be paid at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, 24 Cliff Ave, Tupper Lake on Thursday, September 8 from 4p.m. to 7p.m.  A Mass of Christian burialwill be celebrated  on Friday, September 9 at the St. Alphonsus Church in Tupper Lake at 2p.m.

Richard L. Arnold, 64

Richard L. Arnold, 64, of Middleburg, Florida passed away on July 12, 2016.
Born on October 29th, 1951 in Tupper Lake to the late Maynard L. and Mildred K. (McDonald) Arnold.
Dick was a member of Clay Hill Church of God in Middleburg Florida, a hard-working man who "told it like it was" and was his wife's hero.
At the age of 59, he enjoyed attending Tulsa Welding School in Jacksonville and the many friends he made there. He especially loved riding his Harley year-round since his retirement to Florida.
Dick joined his beloved Marine Corps at the age of 17, serving his country in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1971.
He worked for several years for the State of New York after his discharge from the Marines, before moving to Reno Nevada. While in Nevada he worked as a welder, a Nevada State Prison guard, and in 1984 was hired with the US Postal Service. He pursued his career as a letter carrier and moved back to New York State. He delivered mail in Tupper Lake from 1987 until his retirement in 2006. Dick worked at Mountain Lake Academy in Lake Placid from 2007 until retiring to Florida in 2010.
He is a beloved husband, dad, papa, brother and uncle.
Dick is survived by his wife, Nancy Arnold; sons, Dylan L Arnold (Lindsay) of Fernley, Nevada; Jason D. Flyte of York, Pennsylvania; Adam T. Arnold of Tupper Lake; daughter April Lynn of Middleburg, Florida; brother Michael Arnold of Ridgefield, Washington; sisters, Susan Frank (Richàrd) of Schenectady, and Roxanne Arnold of Reno, Nevada; 11 grandchildren- Alexis, Preston, Katie, Alissa, Bradley, Andrew, Michaela, Piper, Kobie, Joseph and Brody; a great-grandson, Greyson Alexander and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on July 14 at Clay Hill Church of God in Middleburg, Florida. 
Internment in the Jacksonville National Cemetery with military honors will be scheduled at a later date.
A celebration of Dick's life will be held at 2p.m. on Saturday, September 10 at the VFW on Park Street in Tupper Lake for those who would like to come and share fond memories and stories of a man gone to soon.

Robert Pierson

Robert A. Pierson, beloved husband of Anne K. Pierson passed away peacefully on August 14, 2016 at St. Peter’s Nursing and Rehab Center in Albany.  The son of the late Alva C. and Flora (Gauthier) Pierson, Robert was born in Tupper Lake,  on May 5, 1929. Robert was married to his soulmate Anne Keeler on July 1, 1950 and they were blessed with 66 wonderful years of marriage.
Robert served his country in the US Navy from 1946 to 1948.  He received his Bachelor’s degree in education in 1960 and his Master’s degree in 1961 and began his teaching career in the Albany City School District.  He taught for over 20 years at the Bethlehem Central School system retiring in 1991.  After his retirement, Bob volunteered for the American Red Cross delivering blood to hospitals one day a week for about 18years.
Robert is survived by his wife, Anne K. Pierson; his sisters-in-law: Helen Beck and Ruth Oksala; 12 nieces and nephews to whom he immensely enjoyed being “Uncle Bob” over the years.  They include Douglas Keeler, Kathleen Lefebvre and Kevin Keeler all of Tupper Lake.

Mary Helen (Seery) Miller, 88

Mary Helen (Seery) Miller died peacefully on August 1, 2016 in Colchester, Vermont at the age of 88. She was surrounded by her extensive family when she passed into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior.
Helen, as she was known, was born on May 12, 1928 in Tupper Lake, the daughter of William and Anna (Castelle) Seery.
She married Andrew Thomas “Tommy” Miller, the great love of her life, July 20, 1946 in Tupper Lake, where they raised their five children with much love and affection.
Helen worked for many years at Mercy General Hospital in Tupper Lake. She loved playing Bingo and going to the casino. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Her loving nature is her greatest legacy.
She is survived by her children Wayne and Catherine Miller of Essex Jct, VT, Arleen “Jiggs” Young of Plattsburgh,  Shirley and James Connor of Plattsburgh,  Michael and Judy Miller of Chandler, AZ, and Bonnie and Renee Harris of Avon, IN. She had nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband in 2004.
A Mass is scheduled for Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Tupper Lake, at 1p.m. with a reception to follow at VFW. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Helen’s life.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Green Mountain Nursing Home in Colchester, VT for their care.

Jacqueline E. Smith, 82

Jacqueline E. Smith, 82, passed away peacefully in her home after a long illness with her family by her side. 
Born on April 22, 1934 in Tupper Lake.  She was predeceased by the love of her life, husband Alfred E. Smith and her grandson James T. Person.
Jackie loved life and lit up a room wherever she was. Her home was always open to anyone who needed help or a friend.  If you knew her, you couldn't help but love her.  Jackie was an artist whose paintings hang on many walls throughout Adirondack homes. She played the piano, was a seamstress and her cooking was out of this world.  Many remember her on the slopes of Big Tupper or on the greens of the Tupper Lake Country Club. 
Jackie is survived by her daughters;  Ellen and Dick Guiney, and their family: Lindsey, Matt, Madison and Lucas Fletcher, Maria Person (wife of James Person) and Aimee Guiney.  Tiffany, Dan, Emma, Wyatt and Decker Foli. Vivian Smith, Don Coady, Brandon McArdle, Ann Squires, Nick O'Neill and Hannah Smith.
AMass of Christian burialwill be Celebrated  on Friday, August 12 at 1p.m. at St. Alphonsus  Church in Tupper Lake.   Arrangements are with the Stuart-Fortune-Keough funeral home. 

Marshall J. “Boogie” Godin, Jr., age 74

Marshall J. “Boogie” Godin, Jr., age 74, of Tupper Lake, and Port Charlotte, FL. passed away peacefully, after battling cancer, at his Florida residence on Friday, July 22, 2016 with his wife, Debbie and children Paula and Darryl at his side.
Marshall was born in Tupper Lake on March 3, 1942, the son of Marshall and Beulah Godin.
Boogie graduated from Holy Ghost Academy in 1960. He attended Canton ATC and North Country Community College. He entered into the New Your State Police Academy in 1965 retiring in 1988 with 23 years of service.
After retiring he started up his own remodeling business.  He was also a caretaker for several camps in the area.
On September 10, 1982 Boogie married Debbie LaQuay who survives him. 
He is also survived by two children Paula (Reynaldo) Tayag of Manchester, N.H. and Darryl (Deidre) Godin of Lake Placid;  four grandchildren, Matthew Emily and Jennifer Godin and Gabrielle Tayag.  He is also survived by two brothers Francis (Rosemary) and Stephen (Barbara) Godin both of Tupper Lake; and one sister Susan Boni of Goffstown, N.H. He is also survived by four bothers-in-law Robert (Viola) and Randy LaQuay of California. Richard and Terry (Heidi) LaQuay both of Tupper Lake and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Marshall and Beulah (LeBlanc) Godin and one brother-in-law, Gary LaQuay of Tupper Lake.
Calling hours were held at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Sunday, July 31. A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, August 1 at St. Alphonsus Church in Tupper Lake. Burial followed in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
Friends wishing to remember Boogie may make memorial contributions to The American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.

Nolan E. Charron, 83

Nolan E. Charron, 83,  passed away peacefully at his residence, at Atria Windsor Woods in Hudson Florida, on Sunday July 10, 2016.
Born on September 1, 1932, he was the son of the late Ammory Charon and Frances (Cramer) Charon.
He married Estelle Lavoie in Tupper Lake on August 9, 1958. Together they had four children: Lynn, Audrey, Regis and Neil.
Nolan was a long time resident of Tupper Lake prior to moving to Florida in November 2011.
He served two tours of duty with the military. The first being the Army from 17 years of age from September 1, 1949 to October 1, 1952 and serving overseas in the Korean War, 1 year, 1 month and 7 days until he was honorably discharged from the Army on September 9, 1954. He received a Korean Service Medal with five bronze service stars, a Korean President Unit Citation and a Unit Service Medal. He also served with the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged on October 8, 1957, eight years of military service total.
After the military service, Nolan was employed by the VA Hospital in Tupper Lake as a hygiene aide for the veterans. This hospital then converted to a center for the mentally handicapped and was called Sunmount DDSO where Nolan worked as a mental hygiene therapy aide working a total of 30 years or so for both. Nolan retired at the age of 55 in 1987 from the State of New York.
He was a very spiritual man who loved his family and friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, baseball and art.
He leaves behind his wife of nearly 58 years, Estelle, his children: Lynn (Charron) Becker of Dunedion, FL; Audrey Charron of Glens Falls, N.Y., and Regis Charron of Tupper Lake and one sister, Mary (Charon) Fenton of Raleigh NC.
Nolan also has many grandchildren: Jamie (Becker) and Steve Coryea, Ryan and Christin Becker, Michael Becker and Kacie Murphy, Matthew Charron, Andrew Riechert, and Amanda Margine, Nicholas Charron and Kylee, Jennifer Charron and Jesse, Shauna Charron, Kimberly Charron and Franco, Kacie Charron and Ben, Robbie, and Rebecca Sabin. Great-grandchildren Hailey, Collin, Landen and Dylan Becker, Bailey, Peyton, Berlyn, Isabella and Bennett, Owen and Max. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, a son Neil E. Charron who passed away on April 11, 2011, a granddaughter, Richelle and a great-granddaughter Olivia; two sisters, Nancy (Charon) Miner,  Barbara (Charon) Voudren and abrother, Albert Charon.
There will be no ceremony at this time. A service / celebration will be set at a later date, when Nolan’s wife, Estelle, joins him in the next journey per their wishes, as they want a celebration of their lives together.
