Mary Helen (Seery) Miller died peacefully on August 1, 2016 in Colchester, Vermont at the age of 88. She was surrounded by her extensive family when she passed into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior.
Helen, as she was known, was born on May 12, 1928 in Tupper Lake, the daughter of William and Anna (Castelle) Seery.
She married Andrew Thomas “Tommy” Miller, the great love of her life, July 20, 1946 in Tupper Lake, where they raised their five children with much love and affection.
Helen worked for many years at Mercy General Hospital in Tupper Lake. She loved playing Bingo and going to the casino. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Her loving nature is her greatest legacy.
She is survived by her children Wayne and Catherine Miller of Essex Jct, VT, Arleen “Jiggs” Young of Plattsburgh, Shirley and James Connor of Plattsburgh, Michael and Judy Miller of Chandler, AZ, and Bonnie and Renee Harris of Avon, IN. She had nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband in 2004.
A Mass is scheduled for Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Tupper Lake, at 1p.m. with a reception to follow at VFW. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Helen’s life.
