Jacqueline E. Smith, 82, passed away peacefully in her home after a long illness with her family by her side.
Born on April 22, 1934 in Tupper Lake. She was predeceased by the love of her life, husband Alfred E. Smith and her grandson James T. Person.
Jackie loved life and lit up a room wherever she was. Her home was always open to anyone who needed help or a friend. If you knew her, you couldn't help but love her. Jackie was an artist whose paintings hang on many walls throughout Adirondack homes. She played the piano, was a seamstress and her cooking was out of this world. Many remember her on the slopes of Big Tupper or on the greens of the Tupper Lake Country Club.
Jackie is survived by her daughters; Ellen and Dick Guiney, and their family: Lindsey, Matt, Madison and Lucas Fletcher, Maria Person (wife of James Person) and Aimee Guiney. Tiffany, Dan, Emma, Wyatt and Decker Foli. Vivian Smith, Don Coady, Brandon McArdle, Ann Squires, Nick O'Neill and Hannah Smith.
AMass of Christian burialwill be Celebrated on Friday, August 12 at 1p.m. at St. Alphonsus Church in Tupper Lake. Arrangements are with the Stuart-Fortune-Keough funeral home.
