Cynthia Marie St. Louis
Cynthia Marie St. Louis , affectionately known as Cindy, was a beacon of love and warmth to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Born on March 1, 1957 in Tupper Lake, Cindy was a woman of extraordinary empathy and boundless love. She spent her formative years in Tupper Lake NY, before moving to Morgantown, WV in 2009, where she resided until her passing on April 6, 2025. Cindy was a loving mother, a supportive friend, and a thoughtful soul who viewed life through a lens of compassion and understanding.
After working at the Oval Wood Dish plastic factory for over a decade, Cindy transitioned into a career in healthcare. She became a Certified Nursing Assistant in 2009 and spent the following 13 years in the housekeeping department at Mon General Hospital. Her dedication and hard work were evident to her colleagues and the many patients she served with kindness, compassion and patience. Her belief in the goodness of humanity was evident in her everyday interactions.
Outside of her professional life, Cindy was a woman of simple pleasures. Known as "Llama", "Momma," and "Marmie," among other endearing nicknames given to her by her children, she found joy in crocheting, knitting, listening to music, sending funny Snapchats to her children, and playing Candy Crush Saga. An animal lover at heart, Cindy delighted in bird and raccoon watching and having dogs and cats as pets over the years. She cherished her grand dogs (Griffey and Raven) and Grand cat (Saber), making sweaters for them to wear during cold months. She relished her role as a mother and enjoyed dining at Olive Garden or Cracker Barrel with her fiancé Basil Vest. Above all else, family was what mattered most to Cindy.
She is survived by two brothers, Robert (Diane) Pilon of Morgantown; Richard Pilon of Carmichaels, PA, and her sister Susan Norman, of Dilliner PA, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Theresa Pilon. She is also survived by her four children, Shannon St. Louis and son-in-law Christopher Stall of Sacramento CA, Christine St. Louis and fiancé Phil Eisenhart of Knightdale NC, Melissa St. Louis of Clayton NC and Daniel Moody of Pittsburgh PA.
A celebration of Cindy’s life was held in Morgantown, WV on April 10, 2025.
We encourage friends and family to share their memories and upload photos to Cindy's memorial page. Each memory shared will serve as a comfort to those who loved Cindy, and a testament to the incredible woman she was. Her legacy of love and empathy will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
