Patrick Baker, 75
Patrick E. Baker, 75, of Tupper Lake passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic Cancer on February 17, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
There will be no calling hours per his request.
Born in Tupper Lake on May 18, 1949, to George and Pearl (Theriault)Baker, Patrick went on to serve in the Marine Corps between 1970-1971, leading to an Honorable Discharge.
Upon returning home, he remained in Tupper Lake, where he worked at Sunmount briefly and then played other various roles throughout his life.
Patrick was truly a jack-of-all-trades, always eager to learn new skills and help others.
Pat liked motorcycles, specifically Harleys, and enjoyed snowmobiling, and fast cars in his younger days along with camping, especially at his favorite place: Deer Pond. He also loved to listen to the radio, he would have one in living room on with country and one in his bedroom on with classic rock.
He also loved to watch movies and he had quite a collection of VHS tapes and DVDs. Pat loved spending time with friends, often sharing a socially smoked cigarette or his bubbler. Nothing could compare to the time he spent with his family and he loved giving family members special nicknames. His family members called him Uncle Babe or Baker. He was certainly loved and was one of a kind, to say the least...a man with the biggest heart! Pat will be greatly missed by all many friends and family members!
Patrick is survived by his daughters, Diane Hathaway and Tiffany Buck; his siblings, Lawrence “Donnie” and Karen Baker, Darlene and Phil Beckler and Kevin Baker. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews: Corrennia Rice, “Georgie’’, Joelle Pearl Bedore, A.K.A. “Muffin” and “His girl,” Stacey Papineau, “Ralph”, Shawn Benware, “Buck”, Chelsea Schaffer, Lance Schaffer, “Louie”, Abel Schaffer “Magee” and “Skinny” Winnie Schaffer. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Leo Baker, Robert Baker, Richard Baker, David Baker, Fred Baker, and Joseph Baker and his sisters, Ellen Bombard and June Hutchinson.
