Michael Patrick Rolley, 46
Michael Patrick Rolley, (Mikey,) 46, of Tupper Lake, passed away unexpectedly on June 22, 2024 from complications of a Pulmonary Emboli in his lung. Michael was born in Saranac Lake on June 3, 1978 to Edward J. Rolley Jr. and Colleen G. Rolley of Tupper Lake.
Michael served in the U.S. Army from, September 27, 2001 to December 30, 2010 and during his Military career he completed three tours of duty in Iraq and a tour in Afghanistan. Mike’s service medals are numerous, including, but not limited to; the Iraq Campaign Medal with three campaign stars, an Afghanistan Campaign Medal with one star, an Army Commendation Medal, a Good Conduct Medal, a National Defense Service Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
Michael had a variety of interests, such as, a passion for cooking, the NY Yankees, the Watkins Glenn races, the 49’ers, et al. Michael enjoyed camping, hiking and traveling the states and he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Mikey will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his mother, Colleen G. Rolley, 88, of the Finger Lakes region, his oldest brother, Brian Rolley, 55, of Tupper Lake, his oldest sister, Karen Moseley, 51, of the Finger Lakes, two daughters, Arianna Leigh Rolley, 17, of Ohio, Madeline Elizabeth Rolley, 13, of Malone, N.Y.; Karen’s children - his nieces and nephew Morgan, 32, of the ADK’s, Logan, 28, of Buffalo, N.Y. and Senica, 25, of Wisconsin. Michael also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Edward J. Rolley Jr, his paternal grandmother, Delphine B. Rolley, his sister Julie A. Rolley, and two brothers Eric and Christopher Rolley. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a Memorial Donation in Michael's honor to your local VA organization.
Funeral services will be held at the Frary Funeral Home, 24 Cliff Ave in Tupper Lake NY, on July 16, 2024, with Father James Teti officiating. Visiting hours will be from 1p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Frary Funeral Home, with a funeral service following at 3 pm.
Burial will follow at the Holy Name Cemetery, State Highway 3, Tupper Lake, NY.
The immediate family will be having their own private celebration of life for Michael, out-of-town. However, those who wish to coordinate their own celebration of life for Mike, in Tupper Lake, are more than welcome to do so.
