Funeral services for Elsie M. Lanthier, age 93, of Fort Covington, have been entrusted to Frary Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Malone. Private services will be at the convenience of the family.
Elsie passed away on October 13, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
Elsie was born on August 10, 1931 in Tupper Lake, the daughter of Albert and Emily LaRochelle. She attended high school and went on to be a homemaker and housekeeper for most of her life. She cleaned houses for many years.
Elsie married Eddie Lanthier on October 22, 1949 at St. Joseph’s Chapel, Tupper Lake.
Elsie is survived by her children Steven (Jean) Lanthier, Jane Johnston, and Jim (Karen) Lanthier; her siblings, Gina LaRochelle, and Joseph LaRochelle; her grandchildren, Heidi Ashline, Sarah (Chris) Cox, Chantelle Hurteau, Danielle (Dylan) Martin, Emily Lafontaine, and Jennifer Alexander; her great-grandchildren, Bay Ashline, Alidia Bogett, Brayden Bogett, Olivia Hurteau, Sophia Hurteau, Kelsey Martin, Liam Martin, and Lucas Martin; As well as cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, as well as her sister and brother, Emily LaRochelle Buteau and Real LaRochelle.
Interment will take place at St. Alphonsus Cemetery where she will eternally rest with her husband, Eddie.
