John grew up playing drums for the Tupper Lake Christian Center as part of the worship team and held strong Christian beliefs. John was an avid outdoorsman with a love of fishing, hunting, camping, four wheeling, snowmobiling, and spending time at the family camp, Camp Tilly. John also loved animals, especially his dog Shay Baby. He could usually be found tinkering and rebuilding anything he could get his hands on which include his motorized bike, his Mongoose, and red Mustang.
Anyone who knew John, knew he had a bold, adventurous, fun-loving personality. He was quick-witted, light hearted and he captured the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He was hard working in all he did, had a fierce love for his family, and was never afraid to take a risk or stand by his views. His smile was contagious, as he was often in the center of the room making jokes. John was strongly protective of his sisters and his "brothering" often extended to close family friends. John will be forever loved and in the hearts of his family and loved ones.
Calling Hours were held at the Tupper Lake Christian Center in Tupper Lake, on November 22, from 1p.m. to 3p.m. with a service immediately following officiated by Pastor Dave Boyea.
