Elizabeth (Bette) A. Benware, 88
Elizabeth A. (Brady) Benware, 88, a retired editor for the Reader’s Digest, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018 in Zephyrhills, Florida.
Born in Albany N.Y., May 27, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Lucille Aldea Brady.
She lived in Tupper Lake for 33 years, spending winters in Zephyrhills, Florida for the last 15 years. Prior to living in Tupper Lake, she lived in Pleasantville, N.Y. as well as the Bronx. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family and attending church.
She leaves behind a granddaughter, Megan E. Stultz of Crestview FL, two grandsons, Travis J. Green and Tyler J. Green of New Paltz, a great grandson, Orion B. Stultz of Crestview, FL, two great granddaughters, Jade K. Green and Nayomi A. Green of New Paltz, a sister, Dorothy (Dooney) Muller, a cousin who she regarded as a brother, Robert Roscoe of Zephyrhills, FL, a cousin who she regarded as a sister, Elizabeth (Coan) Denis of Zephyrhills, FL, and countless beloved uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Elzare Benware, and her children, Joseph (Bruce) Benware, Jon Benware, Bennett Benware, and JoAnne Green.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 15 at 10 a.m. at Holy Name Cemetery in Tupper Lake.
