Daryl Richard Boushie, 45

Daryl Richard Boushie, 45, of Tupper Lake, New York, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026, surrounded by family and loved ones after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born on September 22, 1980, in Saranac Lake, Daryl was known for his fierce determination, quick wit, and contagious smile. There was no Daryl without fishing. Whether on the water, in the woods, or around a bonfire, he found his greatest peace in the outdoors. His heart belonged in the Adirondacks. A gifted craftsman who spent much of his life working in construction, Daryl had a remarkable talent for woodworking.

Daryl is survived by his son, Kai Boushie; his mother and stepdad, Ellen (LaBarge) and Peter Olney; his sisters, Jennifer Boushie, Sarah Boushie, and Katherine Olney; his dear friend Cathy Shaheen; and many cherished family members and dear friends. Daryl was predeceased by his father, Paul Boushie; his grandparents Richard and Phyllis Boushie and Drummond and Simone LaBarge.

A casual memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Frary Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tupper Lake Rescue Squad in Daryl’s memory.
