Rita Lorraine (Blair) Theriault, 79, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 14, 2024.
Born on February 21, 1945 to Victor and Gladys Blair. She was raised in Tupper Lake with her four sisters, Gloria, Vickie, Geraldine, and Patricia.
Rita graduated from Tupper Lake High School in 1961. She married Samuel Theriault on October 13, 1961, together they moved to Newark NY where Rita worked and retired from Newark Nursing Home. After retirement Rita and Samuel moved back to Tupper Lake.
She enjoyed crocheting, crafting, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel of 62 years; their two daughters Lori and Tammy Theriault. Her eight grandchildren Trish, Terry, Reynaldo, Jeffery, Kayla, Lori; five great-grandchildren: Haley, Charley, Natalia, Peyton and Leon and two sisters, Gloria Exware and Vickie Gonyea.
Rita was predeceased by her parents, Victor and Gladys Blair, two grandsons Kevin and Bobby Roach. Three sisters, Geraldine Exware, Patricia Varden and Margaret Blair who passed away as an infant.
Rita was a loving mother and wife. Her bright blue eyes were full of life and would sparkle with warmth and happiness. Her memory will be cherished as her presence will be sorely missed. We love you! Lori, Tammy and Sam
