Gene Becker, 82

Gene H. Becker, 82, of Tupper Lake, NY, went to rest with the Lord on November 7, 2024.

Gene was the son of Herbert and Margaret Becker. He was born on February 11, 1942.

In 1963 he met and fell in love with Heloise "Day Day" Becker. They were married on June 13, 1964, at Saint Alphonsus Church in Tupper Lake; they lived “happily ever after” and would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past June.

Gene was born and raised in Tupper Lake where he attended Tupper Lake Central Schools. He was part of an integral work force in Tupper Lake where he worked at the movie theater, dress factory, Shaheen's Market, Lake's Sawmill and retired from the Labor Union. After retirement he went on doing firewood for many years. He was one of the hardest workers out there and lived for his family.

Gene enjoyed bowling for many years. He was on a mixed league with his wife Day Day, the R&C Becker team league.

Gene's favorite pastime was playing bingo with his wife, Day Day; along with doting on his three beautiful grandchildren. Gene was also expecting his very first great-grandson in February 2025 that he was very excited for.

Gene is survived by his loving sons, Curtis Gene Becker and Scott Allen Becker of Tupper Lake; Hhs grandchildren, who he absolutely cherished, Chloe Rose Becker, Calli Anne Becker and Ryan Curtis Becker.

Gene is now back and resting with the love of his life, Day Day.

Burial services will be on November 13, 2024 at St. Alphonsus Cemetery at 2p.m..
