Dan McClelland

It is with great sadness that the family of Leonard (Lenny) Indellicati announce his passing on Friday, January 12, 2024, at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake at the age of 77.

Born in New York City and graduating from the Long Island City High School in June 1964.

During the 1960's, prior to graduation, Lenny worked for the City of New York Department of Social Services in Queens, N.Y., while he was enrolled in a work study program during the school year- working on week and attending school one week.

Lenny served a few years in the U.S. Air Force, as an Airman, and was honorably discharged in 1968.

He became a member of the Amalgamated Lithographer's Union Local-One during the 1970's and worked as a Journeyman Press Operator at a Lithography company, located in Islip, N.Y., on Long Island, called Grinnell Lithographers. He worked there for 26 years.

Lenny also worked in retail for a few years and decided to retire about five years ago to his house in Piercefield, which also houses the Piercefield Post Office.

Lenny liked going to the Tupper Lake Senior Center often for lunch and companionship and Stewart's was also a favorite stop for him.

He was a dedicated member of the Knight's of Columbus for at least 20 years. At times, he would attend the meetings and events of the Knights of Columbus Council in Tupper Lake.

Lenny is survived by his brother, James (Jimmy) Indellicati of Long Island.

He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Leonard Indellicati.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 17, 2024, starting at 10a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church, 48 Wawbeek Ave, Tupper Lake, followed by the burial at Gale Cemetery, Route 3, Piercefield.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated, made in honor of Leonard Indellicati to any of the following organizations: The American Diabetes Association, The American Heart Association or the Knights of Columbus.
