The French Angels took another angel home, Richard J. LaPorte, 83, of Inlet, passed away at his home on November 5, 2023.
He was born in Tupper Lake on December 7, 1939 to Adleor and Emma LaPorte, and where his childhood memories of working in the woods with his father and many Lumbermen.
TeePut attended Indian Lake School. It was with great honor for TeePut to retire after 21 years in the US Army as an M.P.
TeePut was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Maynord (Boogo) LaPorte, Beulah Heroux and Dorothy Brigham.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marie (Laursen) LaPorte; children, Lori (Mike) Wilson, Shelly Skripnichuk, Ricky (Millie) LaPorte, Wayne (Kim) LaPorte, Michael Hand, Heather Hand and Crystal LaPorte (John Best) and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, siblings, Shirley Delmarsh, Wayne (Punny) LaPorte, and Linda (Tom) Helmer. Last but not least he leaves his Yorkie Canine Companion, referred to as his best little Buddy “Little T”
TeePut will always be remembered for a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and an amazing friend. We couldn’t have asked for a better man. His memories will live on in our hearts. “Hey Big Bird, Just one more”.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday November 12, 2023 from 2-5 pm at Dimbleby Funeral Homes, Inc., 128 Fern Ave. Old Forge. Funeral services will be on Monday November 13, 2023 at 1 p.m. from St. Anthony’s of Padua’s Church 183 NY-28, Inlet, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery with Military Honors.
