Carol Reta Plumley, 80, of Jensen Beach, FL, passed away peacefully February 28, 2021.
She was born in Tupper Lake, N.Y., May 23, 1940, to Fredrick and Grace Savard.
Carol graduated from Tupper Lake High School in 1958, and earned her cosmetology license. She was a career hairdresser operating her own establishment, Carol’s Beauty Care.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gary, and four children: Jay Plumley (Lynn) of Herkimer, N.Y.; Angela Gardner (Joe) of Mint Hill, N.C.; Laura Bishop (Dave) of Hastings, N.Y.; and Paul Plumley (Allison) of New Milford, CT.
Carol is also survived by 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored. In addition, she leaves behind two sisters, Barbara Lantiegne and Althea Boushie, who Carol looked up to and loved spending time with. She is predeceased by her parents.
Carol was a long-time member and Eucharistic Minister of St. Alphonsus Parish in Tupper Lake. She enjoyed outdoor activities, baking for her family, sewing, and countless needlework projects.
In the Florida sunshine, she cherished having coffee on the porch with Gary, where they would sit and visit.
A memorial service will be held June 26, 2021, 11 a.m. at St. Alphonsus, immediately followed by burial at the church cemetery.
