A Funeral Mass for Shirley Godin, age 77, of Tupper Lake will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 12p.m. with Rev. Douglas Decker officiating. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Frary-Stuart Funeral Home, Tupper Lake.

Mrs. Godin passed away on Friday night, March 12, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She is survived by her two children, Ricky Godin and his companion, Barbara Loewen, of Tupper Lake, N.Y. and Lorrie Plumley, of Tupper Lake; one grandchild, Noah Plumley, of Tupper Lake; two sisters, Genevieve Simpson, of Tonawanda, N.Y. and Rosemarie Morrow, of Tupper Lake; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. S

She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Godin; her sister, Nancy Degone; and two brothers, Robert and Raymond Degone.

Shirley was born on August 31, 1943 in Malone, N.Y., the daughter of Leon and Edna LaBarge Degone. She graduated from Tupper Lake Central School in 1961.

She married Ronald Godin on August 27, 1966 at Holy Name Church. Shirley retired in 2005 after working in The Connection at Sunmount DDSO for 30 years.

She enjoyed going to church, playing bingo, and going to the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino. She also enjoyed camping with family and taking care of her grandson.
