Holly Lynn Russell, age 61, of Tupper Lake, passed away unexpectedly at her home on December 5, 2020, in Tupper Lake. Services will take place on Friday, December 18 at 2p.m., at St. Alphonsus-Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary-Stuart Funeral Home.

Holly was born on September 2, 1959, at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, Texas. She was the daughter of Vernon Bieker, and Shirley (Burke) Bixby. Holly graduated from Tupper Lake High School and married Michael Russell on September 15, 1979. Together they raised three children; Michael Jr. Christina, and James.

Holly is survived by her husband Michael Russell; their children, Michael Jr., his wife Jessica and grandchildren Jenny and Tyler, of Tupper Lake; Christina Russell, of Tupper Lake; James and April Russell and their son Verne; of Johnsville, NY; sister, Tracye Snyder, and her husband, Tom, of Tupper Lake, brothers Randy Bieker, and his wife Valerie, Burleson Texas, as well as Michael and his wife Summer of Glen Rose Texas, and her father Vernon Bieker of Crowley Texas, and stepfather Larry Bixby of Sodus, NY, as well as a few aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is predeceased by her grandparents and mother, Shirley Burke Bixby.

Holly enjoyed waitressing for many years at Bob’s Steakhouse, Mason’s and the Swiss Kitchen, just to name a few. Anyone that worked with her would say she was so much fun to work with. Holly also worked for many years in the cafeteria at the Tupper Lake High School.

Holly enjoyed helping and giving to people. She was active in the church for many years as well as the Tupper Lake Football boosters, and the Tupper Lake Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary.

Donations in Holly’s memory can be made to the TL Food Pantry and Kiwanis Castle’s Toy Factory.
