Barbara was born on October 27, 1927, in Tupper Lake, the daughter of Charles and Bertha Hodges Laramee. She graduated from Tupper Lake High School in 1946.
Barbara married Vernon Casagrain on May 1, 1948 at Holy Name Church. She worked for the Oval Wood Dish Company for over 44 years before retiring in 1991. She later volunteered for Franklin County Head Start of JCEO as a foster grandparent from 2005 to 2015.
She loved to travel with her sisters and had a fondness for all animals especially cats. She also loved cartoons, big band and country western music, the arts, and spending time with her family. For those who knew her best she loved “coffee” and she once said, “I love coffee so much I wish I could bathe in it!” To celebrate her life we toast in her memory “good to the last drop!”
