Maurice Trudeau, “Butch,” age 79, of Tupper Lake, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019. Calling Hours for Maurice were held on Sunday, November 3, 2019 from 2p.m. until 5p.m. at Frary-Stuart Funeral Home. Funeral services for Maurice took place on Monday, November 4 at Saint Alphonsus Holy Name of Jesus Parish at 11a.m. with a burial at Saint Alphonsus Cemetery immediately following.
Maurice is survived by his wife, Sandra (Rice) Trudeau, his children; Jacqueline Trudeau of Tupper Lake, John Trudeau, and his wife, Sally, of Tupper Lake, Robert Trudeau, and his wife, Phyllis, of Tupper Lake, and Tina Trudeau, and her fiancé, Junior Davis, of Tupper Lake. He is also survived by his brothers Donald Trudeau of Tupper Lake and David Trudeau of Ogdensburg, NY. Maurice was born on February 19, 1940, in Tupper Lake, the son of Edgar and Aurora (Lanthier) Trudeau. Maurice graduated from Tupper Lake High School and later served in the Air Force from 1957 until 1960. Soon after, Maurice married his wife, Sandra (Rice) Trudeau on March 3, 1962, at Saint Alphonsus Church. He worked at the Tupper Lake NYSDOT for 31 years as a transporter before retiring.
Maurice enjoyed his morning coffee, going to eat with his brothers, and running errands with his great grandson, John Wayne III. He was also a member of the Tupper Lake Fire Department and part of their Race Team. Maurice enjoyed being outside and hunting.
