Philip “Peachy” Denis

Philip “Peachy” Denis passed away suddenly on July 15, 2018 while visiting his daughter near Syracuse.
Born July 4, 1951, he was the son of Armand and Lucille (LeBlanc) Denis.
He attended local schools and enlisted in the Army in 1971 serving in Germany and Hawaii during the Vietnam war. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1973.
He returned to Tupper Lake where he made his home and was employed as a mechanic in several garages before moving to Syracuse area in the 1980's.
Philip returned again to Tupper Lake and was employed at Sunmount until he retired in 2014.
He is survived by one son, Shawn Denis and fiance Brittany Mansfield and two daughters, Cindy Bradley and Melissa and husband, Joe Bruno, and four grandchildren, Ariana and Bracin Bruno and Chris and Danielle.
Also surviving is a step grandson, Jack. He is also survived by one brother, Henry Denis and his wife Pamela Wood Denis, four sisters- Sandy Benware, Sue Illingworth, Laurie Denis all of Tupper Lake and Sheila and Robert Giustino of Warrensburgh. He is also survived by one aunt, Theresa Leblanc. He leaves behind too many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother and father, one brother, Armand Roy Denis, and one sister, Patricia Allen.
Peachy enjoyed fishing and hunting with his brothers. He also enjoyed carpentry, rebuilding old cars and hanging out with his nephew David who spent a lot of time with him the past few years. His favorite pasttime was spending time with his grandchildren, Ariana and Bracin, who he loved dearly.
He is loved and missed by all his family and friends.
