Robert P. Woulf, 87
Robert P. Woulf, 87, known as “Medoss” in Tupper Lake, passed away Thursday, June 14 at Crouse Hospital.
Mr. Woulf was a native of Tupper Lake and was a Korean War Navy Veteran, serving on the U.S.S. Quincy. He was a former printer with the Herald-Journal and retired from LeMoyne College, Building and Grounds in 1992.
Robert was predeceased by his parents Oscar W. and Lorenza P. Woulf of Tupper Lake, and his sister Irene M. Woulf in January of 2014 . He is survived by his wife, Helen O’Donnell Woulf; a sister, Yvette R. Guilfoil of Syracuse, three nephews William (Liam) Guilfoil (Mary) of Bally Cotton Ireland; John F. (Jennifer) Guilfoil of Charlotte, N.C., and Robert P. (Elizabeth) Guilfoil of Syracuse. He is also survived by three grandnieces Kathleen, Elinor, and Isabella, and a grandnephew Jack, as well as cousins in Tupper Lake and Canada. He is also survived by a special friend, Alexander K. Wright of Sherrill, N.Y.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday June 18 at All Saints Church, 1340 Lancaster Ave., Syracuse, formerly St. Theresa’s Little Flower of Jesus. Entombment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dewitt.
