Kay L. Richer, 83, of Liverpool passed away peacefully at home Monday April 9 after a short illness surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Tupper Lake, NY then moved to the Syracuse area in 1956.
Kay retired from Crouse Hospital in 1996, after which she spent a very active life as a Jehovah’s Witness. She was a very giving person who took great pride and joy in caring for her family and helping those less fortunate.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend always bright eyed and full of fun. She was predeceased by her son Timothy, sisters Beverly LaMere, Claire Richardson and Janice Johnson-Fisk.
Kay is survived by her loving and devoted husband Leonard of 65 years, her sister Betty Coppins, her sons- Leonard (Betsy), Jay, John (Karyn), Richard (Lynne), her daughters- Sharon Richer, Cindy (William) Mack, Susan (David) Picarel, Christi (Anthony) Mangano and Theresa Richer,
She also had 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Arrangements have been made with Sears Middleton Jones There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held Friday April 13 at 3 p.m. at the Clay Fire Department Rt. 31 Clay, NY
