Rosemary Mangan

Rosemary Mangan, 57, of 173 Park Street, Tupper Lake, passed away early Friday morning, March 24, 2017 at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, where she had been a patient since March 17.
Rosemary was born August 17, 1959 in Cornwall, Ontario, the daughter of Joseph Jacobs and Helen Mitchell Kennedy and attended schools in Tupper Lake and Saranac Lake, as well as business school in Syracuse.
Rosemary was a private duty home health care aide in the Syracuse area, where she lived, for many years.
At one time, she was also the head housekeeper at the Days Inn – University in Syracuse. She enjoyed beading, making dream catchers, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Rosemary is survived by her loving husband, Joseph, whom she married on July 29, 1989 in Syracuse; her children, Steve (Jennifer) Lazore of Tupper Lake; Stuart (Chrissy McNichols) of Cornwall; Stacey Lazore of Tupper Lake and his companion, Margaret Thompson of Akwesasne; her grandchildren, Niiostosera’ah Jada, Emily, Macey, Shady, Tehanerahtatenies, Karahkwanoron, and Tobias; her siblings, Alma (Orlo) Ransom, Joseph Jacobs, Jr., Tammy (James) Schaffer, Melissa (Al) Stuart, Connstance, Paul (Sherry) Kennedy, Derrick (Traci) Kennedy, Lawrence (Tanya) Kennedy, Edward (Joanne) Mitchell, and Joseph (Diane) Mitchell; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents and her step-father, Patrick Kennedy, she was predeceased by two infant grandchildren, Baby Blu and Kararisaks John; and two brothers, James C. Mitchell and Peter Mitchell Pierce.
Friends were able to call starting from 5p.m. Tuesday (yesterday) at the Akwesasne Homemakers until the time of the services, Thursday at 2p.m. Cremation will follow.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the funeral home to assist the family.
