Knights again serving free Thanksgiving dinners Thursday

Maintaining a tradition that dates back decades, the Knight of Columbus Council 2177 will again be serving up plentiful portions of Thanksgiving favorites tomorrow.

The Knights annual free Thanksgiving dinner will again be served for the second time in as my years at the Holy Name Parish Center on Marion Ave.

Take-out and delivery begins at 11a.m. tomorrow and eat-in will be conducted from noon to 2p.m.

For free delivery call (518) 359-3405, ext. 5 or (518) 354-7517.

As always volunteers are needed both at the former Holy Ghost Academy and from those who can drive and deliver meals. Those who can help are asked to call either number this week. Joining the Knights this year is expected to be again the members of the Tupper Lake Kiwanis Club.

Diane Fortier, who was a mainstay of the program when it was offered at the Knights hall for decades and now at the parish center, is also looking for pie-makers to supplement the dinner desserts. Diane can be contacted at the second number.
