obit thomas knoll.jpg

December 23 1945 - October 18th 2020

In loving memory of Thomas Richard Knoll, we will be holding a memorial service to honor his life at 11:00am on July 17th at the Long Lake Cemetery.

Tom grew up in Bayville, New York and studied mechanical drafting at Alfred University, where he met Lesley Mace. They married on July 2, 1966. From alpine skiing to Caribbean vacations, he knew how to live life to its fullest and brought joy and laughter to our lives.

Tom always loved building and fixing things. He and Lesley moved to Long Lake in 1985 where they ran several successful vacation businesses and the “Rock Shop.” They traveled the country in their RV, and eventually settled in Tucson for the winters. Together they enjoyed rock hounding, hiking, and exploring new places. But most of all, they loved being with each other, their family, and friends.

Tom is survived by his loving wife Lesley, daughters Michelle and Andrea, his grandson Alex, his two sisters Carolyn and Linda, and brother Jeffrey.

Most of all Tom wanted his life to be remembered for all the happiness, happy hours, and good times he shared with his family and friends.

Please join us in raising a glass in his honor and help spread the light he shined on us all.
