David Madore, 98

David Madore, 98, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026, in Naples, Florida. He was born on September 17, 1927, in Tupper Lake, to Wilfred and Melvina Madore.

Dave lived a life grounded in devotion—to his family, his work, and the community he proudly called home for many years.

He graduated from Tupper Lake High School, and dedicated his professional life to the Tupper Lake Central School District, where he served as Head of Transportation and Custodial Services. His strong work ethic and sense of responsibility left a lasting impression on those who worked alongside him. He retired in 1986, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and pride in his work.

Dave married the former Kathleen Lapier on August 5, 1950. They celebrated 75 years of marriage in 2025.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Kathleen, his daughter, Donna Tuite, and her husband Edward; his grandson, Patrick Tuite and his wife Jessica; and his granddaughter, Megan Perrotti and her husband Joe. Dave’s greatest joy came from his role as a great-grandfather to Julian Tuite, Colin Tuite, and Theo Perrotti, who were truly the lights of his life. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will cherish his memory.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Melvina Madore, and his sister and brother-in-law, Jeannette and Sonny Gillis.

He will be remembered for his quiet strength, his steadfast nature, and the deep love he held for his family. His presence brought comfort and consistency, and his legacy lives on in the generations he so dearly loved.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fuller Funeral Home, East Naples. Services will be held at a later time.
