Steven (Buzz) Benware

Steven (Buzz) Benware passed away on June 24, 2025 in Houston, Texas.

He was born in Tupper Lake, New York on November 7, 1953 to Ames (Bud) Benware and Goldie Dupuis Benware.

He graduated from Tupper Lake H.S. then enlisted in the U.S. Army shortly afterwards, where he spent eight years in Germany and Fort Knox, Kentucky with the Armored Division. After his service, he moved to Texas.

He is proceeded in death by both his parents and brother-in-law, Roland LaVenture.

He is survived by his two sisters Nina LaVenture and Susan Shiring, nephews David LaVenture, Tyler Shiring, niece Michele Smolinski, his children Joshua Benware, Jacqueline Epperson and four grandchildren Ella, Alyssa, Corrine and Chandler.

He was laid to rest in the Houston National Cemetery.
