Linda Auclair, 77
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda K. Auclair, age 77, of Tupper Lake on Monday, April 8th, 2025. As a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, Linda will be remembered for her kindness, patience and compassion to all.
Linda volunteered as a Sunday school teacher at St. Alphonsus church, as aCub scout den leader and hockey mom.
Linda received a bachelor's degree in microbiology from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY. For much of her life, she dedicated her time to the advancement of Tuberculosis research at Trudeau Institute, in Saranac Lake where she met her husband, Donald. Later in life, she transitioned to director of the Goff Nelson Memorial Library in Tupper Lake for over 9 years; she deeply loved this role as she got to help so much of the local community.
Linda loved the Adirondacks and all it had to offer. She always could be found in the garden and if she was not there she was hiking, cross country skiing, playing her piano or reading a book in the sunshine.
She is survived by her husband, Donald, and their two children, Paul and Zachary, as well as her two brothers, William and Donald Terry as well as countless cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held this summer for family and friends to come to gather to remember such a special lady.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Parkinson’s foundation (www.parkinson.org) in her memory.
