Frederick M. Exware, 72

Frederick M. Exware, 72, departed this life peacefully on March 21, 2025, surrounded by his family at his home. Fred was born on January 15, 1953, in Tupper Lake, son of the late David and Hazel (St. Amour) Exware.

Fred served as a grounds supervisor at Sunmount in Tupper Lake for many years, where his leadership and work ethic earned him the respect of his colleagues.

Fred is survived by his life partner of 29 years, Jayne Pickering and his three sons, Frederick (Lona), Mark (Donna Garrow) and Charles (Amy Fraser) Exware, a stepson, Jason and (Anna Lobell) Pickering, four grandchildren, Tyler, Caleb, Kailyn and Carson Exware.

He also leaves behind cherished siblings: sisters Mary Jane Colvin, Alice LaFlamme, and Brenda Hoffman, as well as brothers Donald and Ronald Exware.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Thelma Santerre, Janet Baker, Rita Carrow, Patricia Wellspeak, Cecile Lavoie, Herman Exware, Eugene Exware, Roger Exware, Francis Exware and Harold Exware

Fred will be remembered for his warm smile and gentle nature. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his loved ones, and friends.
