Mary C. Savard, 79

Mary C. Savard, age 79, of Tupper Lake, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. A graveside service will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, Tupper Lake.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Savard; her five children, Lisa Savard, of Queensbury, David Savard, of Tupper Lake, Angie Savard and her wife Jane, of Tupper Lake, Caroline Desmarais, of Tupper Lake, and Shawn Savard, of Tupper Lake; her grandchildren, Jarett Dumoulin, Clint Dumoulin, Jimmy Shea, Corey Savard, Leah Shea, Dillon Mitchell, Taylor Savard, and Hadley Savard; her great-grandchildren, Hunter, Layla, Waylon, Kali, and Charlie; her siblings, Richard Guiney and his wife Ellen, of Tupper Lake, John Guiney and his wife Jessica, of Chittenango, Robert Guiney and his wife Laurie, of Tupper Lake, and Karen Sennette, of Phoenix, AZ. She is predeceased by her parents; her brother, Daniel Guiney; and her granddaughter, Joelle Dumoulin.

Mary was born on May 11, 1945, in Tupper Lake, the daughter of Richard and Catherine Leskoske Guiney. She graduated from Tupper Lake Central School. Mary married Roy Savard on May 1, 1965 at St. Alphonsus Church.

She attended Canton ATC for a few years before raising her five children. After supporting her children, she went to work as an Aide at Sunmount DDSO until she retired.

In addition to being a devoted mother and grandmother, Mary found great joy in the simple pleasures of life.

She had a deep love for music and cherished the moments when she could lose herself in the rhythm of a good tune. She also enjoyed spending time with friends at the VFW, where she felt a sense of camaraderie and belonging.

Whether it was sharing a laugh or enjoying a meal, Mary loved going out to dinner and creating memories with those around her. Above all, her children and grandchildren meant the world to her. She was a loving, selfless mother who raised five wonderful children, and her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family.
