Dorothy Mae Bombard, 88

Dorothy Mae Bombard, 88, of Belmont, MS passed away on Thursday August 29th. 2024 at her home.

Born August 1st, 1936 in Saranac Lake to John R. Gowett and Addie Marion (Lent) Gowett.

On December 21, 1953 she married George J. Bombard at St. Bernards Catholic Church in Saranac Lake, NY.

Dorothy retired from the Sunmount Development Center in Tupper Lake.

She enjoyed knitting, crochet, ceramics and mostly quilting.

She is survived by her three daughters; Cynthia (Stephen) Phillabaum of Belmont, MS. Jacqueline (Franklin) Sweeney of Golden, MS. Lisa (William) Lanthier of Port St. Lucie, FL.

Nine grandchildren; Betsy Peterson (Grand Cayman), Nikki Mondat (NY), Naomi Gaff (MS), Nicholas Lanthier (MD), Charles and Stephen Phillabaum (FL), Scott Lanthier (FL), Lynne Carranza (FL), Tonya Alonzo (MS).

Also twenty great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.

Two sisters; Mary (Robert) Duhaime (NY), Dora (Melvin) LaVair (NC). Many niece's and nephew's.

She was predeceased by her parents John and Addie Gowett, her husband George J. Bombard, four brothers, John, Frank, Scott and Andy Gowett; two grandchildren Melissa Ann Gaff and Michael Brian Celement.

A memorial service will be held at a latter date in Tupper Lake.
