Karen L. Demers

Karen L. Demers, affectionately known as Louise or Louie by friends, was born on September 30, 1974, in Saranac Lake, NY. She passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024, at The University of Vermont Medical Center, in Burlington, VT, surrounded by family.

Karen was a devoted mother and grandmother, cherished by her two daughters, Chelsea Gilson and Kendra Rolley, both of Tupper Lake, and adored by her seven grandchildren: Jakob Rossing, Serenity Hare, Sophiya Gilson, Hunter Gilson, Bryce Rolley, Elsa-Mae Hadlock and Madelyn Fleury. She found immense joy in spending time with her family, and nothing made her happier than seeing her grandchildren smile.

A lover of the outdoors, Karen enjoyed crocheting, watching NASCAR, and indulging in her favorite TV shows, including Law and Order SVU and the Cooking Network. She had a deep appreciation for country music, which often accompanied her moments of creativity and family gatherings. 

Karen was known for her warm heart and generosity, always willing to lend a helping hand. She lived by the motto "live life to the fullest," and her infectious spirit positively impacted everyone around her. Karen was predeceased by her mother Juliette Rossing. Her father, Kenneth Rossing, survives her, along with countless friends and family members who were touched by her love and kindness. 

Karen will be remembered not only for her love of family and nature but also for her unwavering support and compassion for others. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
