Wesley is predeceased by his father Adrien and mother Eleanor (Schulz) Lanthier; two children, Wesley Jr. and Wendy Lanthier; and the late Robert Perrigo.

Wesley was born on June 10, 1947, in Tupper Lake, the son of Adrien and Eleanor (Schulz) Lanthier. He attended Tupper Lake High School, graduating in 1967. He attended Hudson Valley Community College and Albany State graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
