Dale Allen King, Sr., 54, of Dryden, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 4, 2020, at his home.
Born in Altamont, N.Y. on September 28, 1965, Dale was the son of the late Richard and Beatrice Claremont King.
He was a 1983 graduate of Groton Central School. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served from 1984 until his honorable discharge in 1988. He was a proud member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his children, Leah (Adam Standish) King of McDonough, and Dale Allen King II of Freeville; his stepchildren, Johanna (Andrew) Harvey of McGraw, Jamie (Doug) Hehner of N.J., and Amylynn (Nathan) Lucas of Freeville. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Matthew and Rylin Standish; his stepgrandchildren, Ahlexis, Kobe, and Kirsten Tetreault, Natalynn Lucas, and Henley and Hendrix Hehner; his brothers, Mark King of Groton, Todd (Colleen) King of Tupper Lake, and Kent (Dawn) King of CA; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In keeping with the wishes of the family, a private burial will be held at Holy Name Cemetery, Tupper Lake, followed by a private celebration of life.
