Patricia L. Roscoe, 81

Patricia L. Roscoe, 81, of Zephyrhills, Florida, and formerly of Piercefield N., passed away peacefully on March 4th, 2020. Born on January 13, 1939 Parishville, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Sadie Sabre. On July 12, 1958 she married Robert Roscoe at The Holy Name church. They lived and raised their children in Piercefield, New York. Patricia was one of the first Fire Lassie’s in New York State, and was an honorary member of the Piercefield Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and helped to establish the T.L.V. Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary. Throughout her life she worked at the Dress Factory, Draper's, and as a waitress at the Riverside Restaurant, Miss Tupper Diner, Raymonds' Restaurant, and from 1988 she worked at the Canteen at Sunmount DDSO until her retirement in 1998. She was an avid bowler, a ceramics enthusiast, and she had the love for dancing. She could out dance anyone on the floor. Patricia is survived by her loving husband Robert of Zephyrhills, FL and her four children; Timothy Roscoe of Nashville, TN; Susan Roscoe of Kingston, NY, Penny Roscoe of Saugerties, NY; and Beverly and her husband John Goodrich of Ulster Park, NY. She also leaves behind two grand children, April Roscoe of Poughkeepsie, NY and Jeffrey Roscoe of Nashville, TN. Also surviving her are three great grandchildren- Sophia Borden, Nero Bernard, both of Poughkeepsie, NY and Chelsea Roscoe of Middlebury, VT. She is also survived by two sisters and one brother; Wendy Hummel of Kingston, NY, Joanne (Art) Benware of Evans Mills, NY and Jerry (Kathy) Sabre, of Elizabeth City, NC, one sister-in-law Liz (Coan) Dennis of Zephyrhills, FL; also by two Aunts, several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; Sadie and Lawrence Sabre, two brothers; Raymond and Thomas Sabre, and Bette Ann Benware, who was like her sister. A memorial service will be held at the Gale Cemetery at a later date with a celebration of life to follow. Any donations in Patricia’s memory can be made to the Piercefield’s Ladies Auxiliary, or to the Alzheimer's Association at act.alz.org.
