Deborah Pappal, 71

Deborah J. Pappal, 71 of Ransomville, N.Y., was called to her heavenly home on Friday, December 18, 2020 at the Niagara Hospice House, Lockport.

Born in Tupper Lake on April 4, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ursula (Corrow) Wells.

Deborah attended the HGA Primary and St. Pius XHS in Saranac Lake.

In 1968 she moved to the Niagara Falls area, and attended St. Mary's Nursing School, where she became a registered nurse. After graduation, she was employed at Mount St. Mary's Hospital, until her retirement.

Deborah was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish, in Ransomville. She was a dedicated homemaker, and her interests included gardening, traveling, spending quality time with family, and always there for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Deborah was preceded in death by her husband, Metro Pappal on June 30, 2020. They were united in marriage on July 14, 1993.

She is survived by four children, Danielle (Tim) Kolan of Wilson, N.Y., Nicole (late Jeffrey) Becken of Kure Beach, NC, Eric (Jacqueline) Beecher of Sanborn, N.Y., and stepson, Randall (Leila) Pappal of Michigan; six grandchildren, Jared, Joshua, Terra, Riley, Sheridan and Chloe; three brothers, Lee (MaryJo) Wells and Lynn Wells of Tupper Lake, and Ronald Wells of Niagara Falls.

Services will take place at a later date to be announced. Memorial contributions may be made to Niagara Hospice.
