Lee R. McFaul, 73, of Tupper Lake, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, January 10, 2020.
In respect for Lee’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary-Stuart Funeral Home. A celebration of life event is being planned to honor both Lee and Leona and will be held in early summer. An announcement with details will be published in the future.
Lee was born in Tupper Lake on April 13, 1946, the son of James and Dorothy (Rust) McFaul. He attended Tupper Lake High School and was drafted into the Army in 1964 and served in the Vietnam War until his discharge in 1968.
He worked at Draper’s Wood Mill in Tupper Lake, Ward Lumber Company in Jay N.Y., and finally for many years at Sunmount DDSO until his retirement.
Lee married the love of his life, Leona (Ouillette) Dow in June of 1973, and they were married until her passing in Dec. of 2017.
He is survived by two daughters; Venetia (Dow) Trombley and her husband Gregory, Tricia Frach and her husband Henry; one son, Lee James McFaul; and six grandchildren, Trevor Trombley and his wife Amber of Bakersfield, VT, Corey Trombley and his partner Katy Bradley of Saranac Lake, Derick McFaul of Malone, Breanna Trombley of Tupper Lake, Braedon McFaul of Tupper Lake and Adyson McFaul of Lowville. He is also survived by one Great Grandchild, a boy, Amarok Lee Trombley, born to Corey and Katy, the day after his passing.
He has two surviving siblings. A sister, Jean Garrow of Tupper Lake and a brother, Norman McFaul and his wife Nancy, of Jay N.Y. He was predeceased by brothers Douglas and Vernon McFaul and sisters Patricia Miller and Judy Willette.
