Theresa Provost, 93

Mrs. Theresa Jane Provost, 93, passed away on Sunday, May 20 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, NY with her son, Paul, by her side.
Theresa was born February 6, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Earl Arthur and Laura (Harvey) LaRouche. Theresa graduated from Tupper Lake High School as Valedictorian of her class, and later attended the Ogdensburg Business School. Theresa worked at Sunmount and later alongside her husband, Roy Provost, in the family’s accounting firm.
Theresa and Roy enjoyed many activities together, including dancing, canoeing, traveling and skiing. Theresa was very active within the Catholic Church, Business and Professional Women’s Club, Boy Scouts of America and many other organizations. Theresa will always be remembered for her love of family, friends, and God; and also, for her great sense of humor and wit.
Theresa is survived by her son Thomas and his wife Marcia of Loveland, CO; her son Paul of Tupper Lake; daughter-in-law Francis of New Haven, CT; six grandchildren: Shelley, Stephan, Joseph, Chris, Megan, and Tony; many great grandchildren; and nephews Mike Provo and David Farnsworth.
Theresa is predeceased by her husband Roy Provost, her eldest son Peter Provost of New Haven, CT, her daughter-in-law Susan Provost of Tupper Lake  and sister-in-law Linda Provo.
There will not be calling hours, but a Mass of Christian burial will be held on June 2 at 10 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church in Tupper Lake. A private burial will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that those wishing to remember Theresa make contributions the Tupper Lake Food Pantry.
