Patriotic Memorial Day celebrated here

New Village Clerk Jessica Fuller and her boss, Mayor Mary Fontana presented wreathes on behalf both the village and town at Monday’s very well-attended Memorial Day ceremonies at the Veterans Park on Park Street. Below left, Veteran Ray Bigrow, the author of a new book on the history of the Tupper Lake Honor Guard had several roles that day- as guest speaker and presenter of his honor guard’s wreath. At right below, VFW Commander Tracy Luton honored long time band leader, Laura Davison on the decades her and her high school bands have enjoyably punctuated Memorial Day and Veterans’ Day services with well-performed patriotic songs.
