Town again looking to buy firewood

The town board approved a bid measure to purchase 70 face cords of hardwood to heat the town highway garage at its July meeting.

Typically the town buys firewood for its garage at the bottom of Pine Street, stores and dries it for a year, and then burns it the next year. The process and the respective bidding has been underway for many years.

The firewood must be 18 inches long and delivered to the town garage.
