Tupper Lake Rotary Club sponsoring another Red Cross Blood Drive October 16

The need for blood is constant, and although always in short supply, the shortage continues to be compounded by the almost daily disasters and weather events throughout our country.   Blood is in such short supply that the nation is considered to be in emergency status.  Rotary Club sponsors of the next week’s blood drive say only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community.  Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds, and many of us (family, friends, ourselves) will need blood in our lifetime. The October 16 drive will be at the Tupper Lake library from 1p.m. to 6p.m. The last appointment being at 5:30. There are still open slots available.  All donors will receive a $10 Amazon gift card, and a wonderful feeling, knowing you have saved a life.  So, please donate blood, the Rotarians say.  To make an appointment, go online to redcrossblood.org.
